This edition, Pete's top 10 favourite gear:

1. Hex Number 10, get this beauty in and you can hang a bus from it, It also serves in the sea gull protection league.

2. Medium size moac: never heard of a moac? An ancient bit of gear which adorns my rack, if nothing else will a moac will.

3. Wall Nut #7, slips in so easily and stays there hugging the rock, a seconds nightmare.

4. Wall Nut #5, My first bit of booty. I spent at least ½ hour trying to extract it and its had pride of place on my rack ever since.

5. Peanuts, Bought on the advice of someone who should know better and as yet has not been used, one day I'll climb a route that will warrant it.

6. Nutter, invaluable used infrequently and usually for scratching my back, nutter has never failed me yet.

7. Prussic Loops, those wonderful bits of string acquired after a mini epic at Swanage, always there never used - hopefully.

8. Warthog, Size is important. And looks are everything. These things look the part. They are no nonsense protection, if only you could use them on sandstone.

9. An RP, if I really had to use this I would be in trouble, I keep it to remind me how stupid this game can get and to laugh at. I mean who would use one of those.

10. Flexi Friend, The last resort of a desperate man.
