With Pippa Bailey, and Marcia Lindsey.
What a difference a week makes it started sunny when we arrived at rickies café for breakfast, but it was none too warm as we plodded along the cliff path to the crag, such that it was only subliminal was open due to F & M.
The crag was heaving with folks desperate to climb, saw the familiar features of Nick Atkins in the distance, plus a whole gaggle of High Sports regulars dotted about the place.
We three nervously abseiled to the foot of the crag, and nervously gibbered up By Pass S 4a, as I topped out the sun went away for the day and it became very cold. And as Pippa topped out last it started to spit with rain. So we took shelter for 30 mins or so before having a crack at Station road HS4b.
We took another break in a sheltered hollow, before Pippa decided to go for a walk, leaving Marcia and myself to have a go at something else. By this time the crag was almost empty, inclement weather has a funny effect like that, Lordy we must be hard. Anyway after an amount of gibbering Back street VS 4c was duly climbed. But not after a near disaster! Guess which pillock abseiled into the Zawn without his rope! Luckily a high sports regular was on hand to lower the thing down. Chris is Robs [high sports Manager] house mate, and was on my SPA course the following week oh the shame.
Time marched on & the cold won so it was off the blue chip shop in Swanage [it's the good one] for a well earned fish supper & home.
