There is so much climbing in the south of england it is sometimes just not worth taking that trip North to seek out those classic and well known crags. The varity of climbing is truely astounding, ranging from muscle tearing bolted Limestone through top roped Sandstone to bold traditional Granite. Along the way there are the oddities of chalk climbing and the south coast sea stacks which offer the thrills and excitement of real adventure climbing.

They are all based on the personal expirence of various members of the EGCC. In your in the south and fancy staying there then pick a place, get the guide book and go. You'll be glad you did.
